U verwijst voor uw duurzaamheidsbeleid naar het Sustainability Report 2020 van BP.

Wij constateren dat het de ambitie van BP is om in 2050 net zero te opereren. Ook stelt BP als doelstelling om de carbonintensiteit van haar producten in 2050 met 50% te verlagen. Wij constateren tevens dat BP ambieert om de uitstoot van haar eigen operaties met 30-35% te verlagen en de uitstoot van haar upstream gas en olie productie. BP stelt niet te verwachten dat haar absolute emissies voor 2030 zullen dalen.

Deze ambities zijn op zichzelf niet voldoende om binnen de anderhalve graden te blijven. Tevens constateren wij dat BP niet voldoende concrete plannen heeft om haar ambities te realiseren en daarmee geloofwaardig te maken.

Wij constateren BP Nederland geen concrete ambities heeft opgesteld met betrekking tot het reduceren van emissies.

Daarmee draagt uw bedrijf bij aan gevaarlijke klimaatverandering en loopt u het materiële risico om mensenrechtenschendingen te veroorzaken.
